6x9s

Innit.

6x9s have got a bit of a chavish reputation through no fault of their own. First coming about the early 90's as a quick and easy way to replace the speakers in your car the 6x9 laden parcel shelf has become the symbol of all that is chavvy and annoying about boy racers. However. As after-market speakers get better and better and cheaper and cheaper the 6x9 is no longer just a boy racer thing.

Now due to the massive frequency ranges these things can achieve it is easier to install a pair of 6x9's than a sub and uprated internal speakers.

I personally have no use for a sub. I listen to such a diverse amount of music that a sub would render 75% of it unlistenable and the other 25% so good that I would crash the car during a bass induced coma !

So I've been and got the big brothers to the speakers I installed in the front doors. Impressed with Vibes entry range and not wanting to spend over the odds I grabbed a bargain with these.

£39.99 from Halfords.

The Slick 69.2 (2 way co-axial 6x9 speakers)

Bootiful.
